Message from the Timperley Band President Ray Bowker MBE MIEE MIED
"I first met up with two local musicians in Gary Winson and Tony Kennedy less than twelve months ago totally unaware of the future consequences ! My wife, Hazel and I enjoy Brass Band music and now find ourselves on the Timperley Brass Band Committee attending when time allows.
Timperley Brass Bands' professional standard musicians have impressed me tremendously with their enthusiasm and ambitions to achieve world status. Their work-rate, standards and targets are nothing short of brilliant.
Under the magnificent leadership of David Evans, Musical Director extraordinaire and with the enormous talent of the band members, I am confident Timperley Brass Band will be a great success and are well equipped to represent both Timperley and Trafford UK wide.
Since its re-formation in September 2005 the bands’ progress has been both rapid and great, the contribution made by the Patrons both large or small will help secure the bands long term future for the benefit of all. On behalf of the band may I take this opportunity to thank you for your support to this very important aspect of community life.
I am truly honoured to be the President of the Band and wish them a wonderfully happy and successful future.’’
