Become a Friend of the Band

Timperley Brass Band is a voluntary organisation run by an annually elected Committee and is a registered charity (#1116026). The costs associated with running such a high calibre brass band are significant with equipment for the band including necessary high quality musical instruments ranging from £100 to over £6,000. We meet the core day-to-day running costs of the band mainly through concert performances. Since reforming in September 2005 however the band have identified an urgent need to purchase equipment with a total cost in excess of £30,000 namely –

Instruments
Uniforms; jackets, ties etc.
Banners (for music stands)
New music

The band is working on various ways to help fund the necessary equipment needed and you can help by becoming a band patron. For an application form which includes annual subscription information please contact Peter Harwood General Secretary, telephone 0161 980 1761 or email peterharwood1@aol.com 

How to Get Involved

1. Friends Of Timperley Band – nil subscription

  • Help fund raising e.g. coffee mornings, car boot sales, general help at concerts selling programmes / merchandise, promoting becoming a vice president or a friend of the band.
  • Annual Friends & Vice Presidents free concert
  • Half yearly Timperley Band Magazine.

    • 2.Vice Presidents – annual subscription

  • Vice President of Timperley Band certificate
  • 10% off any concert promoted by the band and priority tickets
  • Attend rehearsals subject to prior arrangement
  • Invited to the Annual Friends' & Vice Presidents' free concert.
  • Half yearly Timperley Band Magazine.

    • 3. Life Vice Presidents – single subscription

  • Benefits as for Vice Presidents.

    • 4. Endow a Chair – additional annual subscription

  • Individuals name / In Memory Of for example noted under the conductors / a players name on the bands website and in concert programmes (where possible).

    • All Patrons will receive an annual certificate signed by the Band Chairman and General Secretary showing the membership joining date and an individual membership number. For all categories above, the Patrons name will be added to the Patrons page of the bands website (individuals choice).
